Have you guys seen that theory going around that Harley Davidson is really a Cosplay company that also makes motorcycles. If you dont own a Harley it's pretty damned funny. If you do own a Harley and are somehow still reading this, once you get past the "NU UHHHH!!!!!" denial phase... If you're honest with your self, the more you think about it? Let's be real. The folks dressing like they own Harleys far outnumber those that actually ride the bikes. Also the mere fact that when you read "folks that dress like they own Harleys" and had a clear picture in your mind of what "those" people look like proves the point.

That said, I like Harleys, really I do. In fact I grew up with them. While my grandfather was a legit Wrecking Crew loving Indians or nothing kinda guy. My father rebelled and rode Harley. One of my dads favorite stories to tell about his father was the day he brought home his first Harley. A Harley branded scooter deal he'd saved up for to help manager his paper route and delivery service he was running to make money. My grandfather saw that Harley Davidson plate on the side and wouldn't even let him park it on the property! The shame! Growing up, my dad always had a pickup in the driveway and a Harley in the garage. Until he switched to Honda Goldwings but that's a story for another time. His bikes always had a place of honor, right next to moms car. All shined to a mirror like perfection. So yeah, when I think of Harley Davidsons, I think of my fathers Bikes.

This special edition Harley looks like it was ridden straight out of my dads photo albums. In fact that handsome Drew Carey lookin dude below? That's my old Dad and one of his trusty steeds. See what I mean!? Harley Nailed it with this one! It's a one time release with two color options with a numbered limit of 1,750 made. The two colors available will be Hi Megenta/Birch White and Hi Fi Orange and birch white. This may seem trivial but it's not a paint only type thing the color choice extends into the windscreen which doesnt sound like a big deal but it's a detail that goes miles and miles toward the vibe. The white saddle bags, white walls wrapped around chrome spokes are perfect. The suspension style seat seals the deal. What Harley Does best, what Harley has ALWAYS done best is selling tradition. and this bike is as traditional as it gets.

Like I said, looking back at pictures of my Father and his bikes this bike would fit right in. My Dad would have loved to have this kind of power 114 cubic inch V twin is the default motor and thats almost triple the cubes my dad would have had on his bikes. I am sure if he was still round he'd be scheming on a way to get one of these in the garage. In fact I have to admit if I had the space and the cheddar id be temtped if for no other reason than to drop its kickstand in front of Dads old tool box, that now resides in my garage. Put a cup of coffee on and a pack of his smokes in the windshield mounted bag and call it good.
Damn these are cool, I cant help hoping these sell in high enough quantities that Harley keeps the package around. what a great looking Bike!
