Here’s another from Aaron’s fleet. He’s not sure about the cars history so if any of you recognize it comment below.
When he picked it up it had bright green steel wheels and rough whitewalls. Aaron isn’t one to leave things alone and quickly ordered up a set of big billets and bagged the wagon to get rid of all that nasty ground clearance. Theres no denying the man’s got his priorities straight. I gotta be honest, while I’ve for sure been coming around on the color pink, this shades a bit jarring. But then you see the checkered roof which oughta make it even worse but somehow… it really doesn’t. Quite the opposite. as soon as I saw the Roof and hood checkers I was like… oh shit it’s like a Vans skate promo vehicle vibe. And that’s kinda cool. I couldn’t help picturing a rack of vintage boards in back and era correct BMXs up top with a bunch of hell bent for leather dirty so cal hooligans inside racing from skate park to skate park. I was surprised, the more and longer I looked at it the more I came around on the color.
It’s obvious this car has seen some shit. Unfortunately the original owner passed away and the guy Aaron purchased it from wasn’t sure about the previous owner or his adventures. Here’s where things get real interesting, the white portions of the checkerboard roof has all kinds of amazing signatures, Ed Roth, Don Prudhomme, and is that Vic Edelbrock? There was a bunch more that were harder to make out. This car has obviously seen miles and hung out in the company of automotive royalty! So anyone recognize her or have insight to her story?
