You can barely see it in these pics but diagonally behind this 1941 Buick Coupe, in that next row over is my own 66 Galaxie Hard top. if your looking at the lower pic just over the passenger side of the windshield is the roof of my Galaxie. This was taken the first time I ever entered her in Ana indoor show, my home town show, the Sacramento Autorama. During the move in I watched this 41 Buick cruise in and was instantly in love. Oh it hit me hard. Worse it was for sale! I must have walked around it a hundred times soaking in every angle detail and flaw. My girlfriend at the time as always was supportive. Buy it, I know its a lot but we will figure it out. I wish id taken her advice when she gave it. Sadly by the time I got the courage to pull the trigger it was sold and on its way to England.
Oh man was I bummed but you know what. if I had purchased her I would have never gotten the 41 Buick I have now. It was hard to except at the time but it wasn't meant to be. We all have stories like this, the one that got away story but I hope that by and large yours like in this case mine had a happy ending. I won't talk prices but not only did I get my Buick cheaper than the one in these pics but I got one that still wears what appears to be its original green paint. Thats right I scored the model and trim level I wanted in the right color to keep the fleet in the family colors. I am, as I hope you are, truly far luckier than I deserve.
